How did you come to be the vice president of quality at Certified Laboratories?
I started my career as a laboratory technologist working in an infectious disease lab for human cell and tissue testing. In 2018, I left the Human Cells, Tissues, and Cellular and Tissue-Based Product (HCT/P) testing arena for an opportunity to work in the medical device industry. I was the head of operations for a contract testing lab for a few years and then with a contract manufacturing organization (CMO). After working my way through various leadership positions, I eventually made my way into the field of quality and now work with Certified as their VP of Quality.
What will you and the other speakers from Certified Laboratories be discussing at the Outsource! Week?
I, and three other experts from Certified, will be covering how to navigate the process of selecting a laboratory to help meet the requirements for bringing a product to market.
How does Certified Laboratories help developers meet regulatory requirements?
Meeting the regulatory requirements to bring a product into the market can be very complicated. The process is full of language and steps that can be difficult to interpret. We are here to simplify the workflow and help clients understand what happens throughout the, at times, nebulous lifecycle of product testing.
What is your favorite aspect of working in this field?
Knowing that I am ensuring the safety and efficacy of products people count on to make their lives easier or more comfortable is one of my favorite aspects.
Check out this speaker and many others during Outsource! Week.
