New Imaging System: A Breakthrough for Contract Laboratories

The ChemiDoc Go Imaging System is a state-of-the-art benchtop solution for gel and western blot imaging

by | Aug 14, 2024

Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., a global leader in life science research and clinical diagnostics, has unveiled the ChemiDoc™ Go Imaging System, a state-of-the-art benchtop solution able to meet the rigorous demands of contract laboratories. This new addition to Bio-Rad’s ChemiDoc portfolio offers rapid, reliable, and highly sensitive gel and western blot imaging, making it an essential tool for contract labs focused on precision and efficiency.

The ChemiDoc Go Imaging System features advanced CMOS digital imaging technology, delivering the same high sensitivity as larger systems in a compact, user-friendly format. It supports both chemiluminescence and fluorescence detection, including StarBright™ Dyes, and offers three versatile sample trays for a wide range of applications, from nucleic acid to protein quantitation. The all-LED illumination system enhances durability and minimizes maintenance, ensuring consistent performance and reducing downtime.

A key innovation for contract laboratories is the inclusion of Stain-Free Imaging technology, which allows for total protein normalization in western blot workflows without the need for additional antibodies. This feature simplifies protocols, reduces costs, and ensures quality control at every step, making it particularly valuable in high-throughput lab environments. Furthermore, the system is compatible with Bio-Rad’s BR.io cloud platform, offering secure image storage and enhanced data accessibility, critical for contract labs managing multiple projects.

The ChemiDoc Go Imaging System combines high sensitivity, versatility, and durability in a space-saving design, providing contract laboratories with the advanced tools needed to streamline workflows and achieve reliable, high-quality results.
