New Deep Well Plate Adapter

The new INTEGRA deep well plate adapter can be easily mounted on the MAG module for use with deep well plates

by | Aug 20, 2024

INTEGRA Biosciences has introduced a deep well plate adapter and magnetic array for its MAG module, tailored to meet the demands of high-volume workflows in molecular biology and proteomics. This innovation allows INTEGRA’s newly launched deep well plates to be seamlessly integrated with the MAG module, optimizing magnetic bead workflows that have become the preferred method for many researchers due to their superior scalability in both throughput and volume compared to traditional column-based approaches.

Manually executing magnetic bead protocols can be labor-intensive and prone to errors, especially when it comes to preventing the aspiration of magnetic beads. INTEGRA’s solution, pairing the MAG module with the ASSIST PLUS pipetting robot, automates the precise handling and separation of magnetic beads, significantly reducing the risk of errors and enhancing workflow efficiency. The MAG module is also compatible with VIAFLO 96, VIAFLO 384 handheld electronic pipettes, and the MINI 96 portable electronic pipette, supporting high-throughput protocols across various lab environments.

The MAG module features a unique moving magnetic array, which eliminates the need for manual plate shifting during bead binding and release. Additionally, the magnetic array can be easily exchanged to accommodate different labware types, providing flexibility for various applications. The new deep well plate adapter and magnetic array allow for processing up to 96 samples with volumes of up to 2.2 ml, making it an ideal solution for contract laboratories seeking to enhance efficiency and accuracy in high-volume magnetic bead workflows.
