Q: What inspired the founding of FetchGoat?
A: I was a healthcare delivery provider for many years, providing transportation services for labs, medical devices, and pharma companies. I found that every organization communicated with their delivery providers by phone and email, which led to a fair share of inefficiencies and costly mistakes. I realized there had to be a way to digitize communication to create a more efficient workflow for both the healthcare and the delivery providers. That’s how FetchGoat was born.
Q: What will you be discussing during Outsource! Week?
A: I’m talking about modernizing laboratory logistics, which is an often-overlooked area that receives little budget for improvements. I want to share with the audience that there are tools to optimize manual processes and can also save money and time. This is why FetchGoat’s solution is built on 30 years of direct experience.
Q: How does your solution help hospitals and laboratories?
A: Our solution is built specifically for hospital systems, laboratories, pharmacies, and general hospital supply chains. We connect all the logistics activities and aggregate them to a single AI-driven dashboard so you can see what is happening in real time. Most importantly, we capture the cost and on-time performance of providers and help build analytics around what is most important to an organization. With the help of AI, we also notify customers and operations in case of delays or unscheduled events.
Q: What is a highlight of the work you do with FetchGoat?
A: It’s watching the faces of our customers during our online demo when they see how easy our system is to use and how all of the information is in one place. There is no more calling the courier to ask where the driver is.
Showing our customers how we can take their lengthy, manual processes and digitize them into a process that takes seconds puts a smile on my face—every time. Ultimately, we’re improving the efficiency of the laboratory so the staff can focus on patient care and not a logistics spreadsheet.
